I suggest you look at the video of the "girl on an adventure" to get a feel for how their shot - it's only then you appreciate how much work goes into creating a single image.

An amazing street photographer you've never heard of?

(c) Vivian Maier

Possibly the most amazing street photographer you've never heard of: Vivian Maier who's work was found by accident. John Maloof bought a box of her negatives at an auction, he was so impressed with what he saw, he tracked down all the other boxes and bought those too.

He says "Out of the more than 100,000 negatives I have in the collection, about 20-30,000 negatives were still in rolls, undeveloped from the 1960's-1970's. I have been successfully developing these rolls. I must say, it's very exciting for me."

John spends an enormous amount of time scanning her work to ensure it's archived, he hopes that she will be recognised as one of the best street photographers of the century: if she is then John is sitting on a goldmine.

See an interesting Chicago tonight video article here: http://www.wimp.com/photographernanny/

John has set up a website to raise the profile of her work: http://vivianmaierphotography.com/
